(June 4, 2017) – It’s been a long time since I’ve posted. It seemed I was posting the same stuff over and over. But that proves just how circular your life’s issues are until you deal with them. Things are better now, but the issues are of a higher level. If we were to use school as an analogy, I’d be entering my first year of the PhD program called life. Whew!
I do have some special news. On a fluke, I answered a call for entry on a compilation book called, Modern Heroine Soul Stories. I was busily proofing a couple of book galleys and wrote 1,000 words in a sort of trance and sent in my story. Lo and behold, I and my story were chosen to be part of this project! The book is due for release later this month. All proceeds benefit Women For Women, International. I do hope y’all will check it out and help ladies all over the world in doing so.
The brainchild of the book, Molly McCord, told me that I was a very good writer and she hoped that I would continue writing. I know this sounds a bit silly for me to mention, but some of us HSPs, introverts, and sufferers of low self-esteem and self-worth don’t receive compliments often enough. Think about those quiet folks in your own life — your family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers — and remember that the power of an encouraging word goes a helluva long way!
p.s. I will try my darndest to post regularly, but perhaps under a new blog. The Hep C journey was created to share the experience and to warn others of the dangers of the treatment I endured.
